Dr. Roeske and Staff:

I had been considering Laser vision correction for several months and finally decided to take the step in January 2005. I looked at the many Doctors and locations doing the procedure. I talked to several Doctor's offices on the phone and received literature from each. Because of the preparation and the follow up visits needed for a successful outcome, I felt the best decision was to go to the most qualified Doctor I could find and also to stay as close to home as possible. Dr. Roeske was a good choice for both criteria.

I felt comfortable with the Doctor and his staff from the beginning. The initial screening not only included the eye exams, but also included a video presentation that explained the procedure, a chance to ask any questions that I could think of and was told what to expect.
Before making the final commitment I had a second session with Dr. Roeske who explained all options, he suggested Laser correction. He once again explained the procedure's, explained his reasoning, and what to expect.

Before the procedure I had one more vision evaluation. Doctor Roeske finalized with me exactly what he would be doing and we looked at the potential results of the amount of correction that he felt was needed.

The procedure was done quickly and was virtually painless. The Doctor talked me through each step. I felt a little pressure when he created the flap, which I expected, I was surprised by a slight burning smell that came from the laser. When it was over I rested a short while in the office. I was given another examination to make sure that everything was OK. I was then given my post operative instructions and went home. I had a good nights sleep and woke up the next morning feeling nothing more than a little scratchy feeling in my eye. I had my first follow up the next day and everything was perfect. The recovery was quick with a minimum of discomfort.

I used my drops for the first week as instructed. I had my week one follow up, a follow up a week later, and another follow up after a month. I have not had a single problem and was back on the job two days after my procedure.

My vision has improved for both distance vision and my close vision. I'm pleased with my progress but I'm still evaluating if I would like a little more done to improve my close vision. I'm sure if a touch up is needed Dr. Roeske will make my vision as clear as it is possible.
I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Roeske to my friends or family for their vision care.

Best Regards,

Bruce McMillin

I have had trouble seeing close up for about 5 years. It was getting harder and harder to see the speedometer while driving down the road, glasses made me sick when I looked at a distance, but I needed them for close up. I wanted to see writing without the use of readers.

I looked at several different Doctors that were in the Riverside area. I wanted a Doctor that was experienced with a knowledgeable staff, one that I felt comfortable with. I found that at the Temecula Refractive Surgery Center.

The first visit included an eye exam and a short video that talked about the procedures. After the video the Staff answered questions and told me what to expect. The Staff is well educated with the equipment in the office and they make you feel at ease.

I had another appointment with Dr. Roeske, who explained the best procedure for me was CK Surgery (Conductive Keratoplasty). This is a non-laser vision procedure for people who struggle with reading a menu, work on a computer or need to see to drive at night.
My eyes were mapped and an analyzes with a personalized vision correction plan from a computer, called "The Zyoptix System". I had this done again just before the CK surgery was performed.

I used an antibiotic drop in my eye the day before surgery and the day of surgery. The CK was done within 10 minutes; the Doctor uses an eye retractor to hold your eye open and some numbing drops. I did not feel any discomfort at all.

After wards I rested in a lounge and about 10 minutes later had an eye exam from Dr. Roeske. I could see small print immediately, I was amazed. My husband drove me home.
I used my eye drops as instructed. I have been back to the office for another eye exam and could see even smaller print at that time. Everyday my vision is improving.

I would highly recommend Dr. Roeske to any one wanting this procedure done. I am so pleased with the results, I wish I would have not waited as long as I did. I love his Staff too, Sonia and Cheryl. They are the best!

Sincerely,

Debby McMillin

I work as a peace officer for a local law enforcement agency. As you might imagine, having good eyesight is very important to my career and me. I wore contact lenses for fifteen years and would often wear them for weeks at a time without cleaning or removing them. The contacts did not bother me and I hated the daily struggle of putting them on. I then realized I was starving my eyes of oxygen and if I continued my ways I could permanently damage them. I was also annoyed when my contacts would, “pop out,” especially during a dangerous situation. I decided it was time to research Lasik surgery.

After gathering several professional opinions, I was referred to Dr. Richmond Roeske at the Temecula Refractive Surgery Center. During my initial consultation, Dr. Roeske’s staff greeted me and they were extremely friendly and kind. They explained the process of the surgery and answered all of my questions. They did not, “rush,” me through the consultation and understood my nervousness about the surgery.

Prior to the surgery, I had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Roeske. Dr. Roeske was very nice and very professional. He took the time in explain(ing) the surgery process, his credentials and experiences, and why I was a good candidate for Lasik. Dr. Roeske was not just telling me things I wanted to hear because he also took the time to explain what could possible go wrong. Dr. Roeske explained to me in a way I could understand. I became more confident in his abilities and my nervousness started to go away.

After the surgery I was overly impressed with the entire process and the kindness I received from the entire staff at the Temecula Refractive Surgery Center. I would like to thank Dr. Roeske, Sonia, and Cheryl for the pleasant experience and wonderful customer service. My vision is now 20/20 without the assistance of glasses or contacts. I love not having to worry about my annual eyesight checkup, having to order contact lenses, the cleaning and maintenance of glasses and contacts, and the fear of breaking or losing my glasses and contacts. I would definitely recommend the Temecula Refractive Surgery Center and have already told some of my friends.
